The city of Hyderabad has a glorious history, and many intellectuals, poets and historians have captured the spirit of the city’s vibrant culture in traditional literature over the years. ‘Mettle‒the stuff we’re made of’ is an endeavour to capture Hyderabad’s fast-changing industry landscape and the essence of its dynamic entrepreneurship.
Mettle is a one-of-its-kind book, delving into the evolution of the industrial landscape of Hyderabad while also covering insights from a few of the city’s leading industrialists and changemakers.
Mettle is also a quest to understand the characteristics, traits and beliefs of the business leaders interviewed and brings their insights in a simple conversational tone. The questions asked in the interview cut across various aspects of a personality to get into the mindset and persona of the business leader. The outcome is akin to mini-biographies, quick to read and understand ‘the stuff’ these leaders are made of.
The book also contains a wealth of information on the evolution of several prominent industries in the city, covering important policy and legislative events that led to the growth of both the manufacturing and service sectors in Hyderabad. To add interest, there are several tidbits of information regarding famous events, brands and people associated with the city and its business enterprises.
